The concept of performance school

The quote comes from Germany's last great polymath - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832):

"It makes a great difference whether I read for pleasure and stimulation or for knowledge and instruction."

This quote contains two crucial aspects of our efforts:

1) Our students learn to deal accurately and critically with (oral and written) textual content in class.

2) School work involves giving lasting meaning to basic knowledge, skills and experiences.

Through mutual exchange, our students learn to ask meaningful questions and develop appropriate answers.

BELLS-Privatschule strives to provide students with not only basic technical knowledge, but also with the ability to learn and think independently.

It is through this independence that a high level of knowledge can be achieved.

School should be consciously experienced as a place of increasing knowledge!

Our pedagogical priorities

The pedagogical concept with which this is to be achieved provides (in summary) the following pedagogical and organizational focuses:

  1. Highly qualified teachers with many years of experience teach, moderate, check and accompany their students,
  2. strengths and interest-oriented teaching,
  3. problem-solving approaches and learning conditions,
  4. cross-curricular learning (interdisciplinarity),
  5. individualized learning through project work,
  6. cross-school learning, daily foreign language training

BELLS-Privatschule is a high performance school where all students are supported according to their current cognitive and social development. In addition, students are supported on a multi-year basis. In this way, particular strengths can be developed and 'weaknesses' can be worked on more consistently.

The gender-specific interests and wishes of the parents are respected and integrated into the daily school life.
